How It All Began....

If you would have told us back in October , the things we are about to tell you, we would have laughed in your face and said, “No Way is that going to happen!” Funny how God always has other plans and most importantly knows how to make them happen. You see, we knew that we left something behind in China….another daughter. We waited 3 years start to finish to bring Meigan home. We were worn out of the waiting and adoption process. However, in China we learned more about her only foster sister. We tried to forget about her but we couldn’t. We had enough information to “Find her file” and found out it was being processed sooner than the orphanage originally told us it would be. We found it just in time at the CCAA. Just in time that is…. to find out that she had already been matched with another family. We were heartbroken, and wondered again why God made us travel down this road again ….for this. We had almost finished our homestudy and we knew that this was God’s way of getting us to do our paperwork this soon after returning home with Meigan, so we finished the Homestudy. We then had a few more disappointments which kept the constant battle in our heads of “should we really do this again so soon.” China put in place another requirement in April and we would be waiting until the end of summer to search for our child. We seriously thought about stopping the process out of frustration on May 3. On the morning of May 4, 2008 we got the kids off to school, Brian was playing with Meigan and Jodie sat down to check our e-mail to find a message from our agency….. They had matched us with a daughter! It was love at first sight, she is OUR Daughter, and absolutely adorable! We know she was the one God meant for our family, the reason we had to get our papers done, because she was ready for us. So let us introduce you to:

We sent in our Letter of Intent (LOI) on 5/5 and received our Preapproval (PA) on 5/13, exactly 7 months from Meigans Gotcha Day.
