11-24-09 Afternoon

The girls finally took a nap this afternoon. It was great to rest a bit. Once the girls woke up they had a great time jumping on the bed and playing together. Meilin knows how to blow her nose really well, and if it is running she'll grab a tissue and wipe it and the blow her nose. There's also a picture of the cute shoes Jodie bought. Then we loaded up the girls and went to Green Lake Park and bought some kettle corn for each of them. We sat down and eventually had a large crowd watching the strange foreigners with Chinese kids! There's a picture of our hotel looking back over the lake posted above. We then went to dinner and had sweet and sour chicken, spring rolls, and fried rice. It was really good, the kids really like the fried rice, the spring rolls were ok with out the sauce.

Then we gave them some Dove chocolate squares (found them at walmart) and Meilin loved playing with it and had it all over. After that we went to KFC and had ice cream sundaes and mashed potatoes. Meilin does not like ice-cream (too cold) but she loved the mashed potatoes, Meigan loves ice cream but does not like mashed potatoes.

When we got back to the hotel the girls had a great time playing, Meilin was all smiles and when she does she smiles with her mouth wide open. Meigan has learned how to say "My turn" and "Your turn" and wants to do everything we do with Meilin. It is hard to give equal attention to Meigan but we are trying our best. Meigan has actually been really good since we got Meilin. She is sharing and hasn't thrown any real tantrums. She has amazed us with how well she has been. (yes, this is Brian writing this post!) It is 9pm and we really need to get the girls to bed but they are playing so well and we are all having too much fun we don't want to stop.
