Gotcha Day Afternoon 11-23-09

This afternoon we tried to have the little girls take naps, as they were both tired and fell asleep on the car ride home but once in the hotel room neither one wanted to sleep. So Jodie was playing with both of the girls, Meigan was copying everything Meilin did, so they both colored, they both jumped on Jodie's stomach (she's still recovering from that one), they played with a ball and stacking cups. After that we went and got Indian food, it was really yummy! Meilin liked the rice and the naan (flat bread). Meilin will give us a kiss if we say "ching ching wo" which means kiss me, it is so cute.

Then we took a taxi to Wal-mart and went to a baby store nearby and bought two strollers! Meigan want's to do everything Meilin is doing and so if Meilin is in a stroller Meigan wanted to be in one so we bought two. About this time Meilin finally fell asleep and so we layed the stroller down and let her sleep as we shopped for some really cute shoes and throughout Walmart. We came home after that and when Meilin woke up she had this look on her face like, "Oh darn, you're still here". She was a little fussy and cried a little at that point, so Brian would walk up and down the hall with her. Then we headed out to Green Lake Park to see how many stares we could get, and we got quite a few. We tried to ride some paddle boats but couldn't communicate with the people there and so we passed on it. We then came home, gave both the girls a bath and put them to bed.

We had a great day, Meilin seems very healthy, alert and attentive. She understands chinese pretty well and definately lets you know if she doesn't like something you try to feed her. She did a little bit of grieving today but she also had lots of smile, laughs, and fun times. She like to play peek-a-boo, and she is very ticklish.
